This site is a dedication to the great sport venues throughout the country.
The places that are more than a place to see a game. Where you will always
remember
the first time seeing the field, and the view from your seat. Old palaces
like Fenway Park will capture
your heart, and new like Enron Field, Bank One Ballpark, and Pacific Bell
Park that will take your breath away.
If you can't visit these wonderful places in person, then here is your chance
to see them.
What I think about the new ballparks:
Of the three new ballparks that have come out this year
(Comerica Park, Pacific Bell Park, and Enron Field),
I think that Pacific Bell is overall the best. Right on the water,
the brick right field wall. It just has such an old-ballpark field, and it
doesn't look like an imitation ballpark like some others do. The bottom
line is that nothing beats waterside property.
There it is-Pacific Bell Park.
My second favorite is Enron Field. Enron is another
ballpark that has an old-time feel despite the retractable roof. The
left field wall is like the second Green Monster. This is going to be a classic
ballpark years from now when were all dead. Remember I said that.
There's Enron Field on Opening Day.
My least favorite of the three is Comerica Park. For all you people
from Michigan, I'm sorry. It just doesnt stack up to the other two. The
scoreboard is huge, but many people down that line can't even see it. The
dirt path from home to the mound is a copy of Bank One Ballpark, and would
have been cool had it come out 3 years ago. The outfield seems to be a big
desert. Not only are the fences really far out, but beyond the fences, theres
nothing really there. But there are two cool things about it: the carousel
and the ferris wheel. I'll give you credit for that.
By the way, thanks to everyone who has visited my page lately. My attendance
has been great. "At the Ballpark" originated on AOL.

It's also easier to update the page here. I have had it here on Tripod since
April 13 of '99. If you have any questions, comments or anything, just
